Pensacola H. Jefferson grew up, from the age of 12 in Phoenix Arizona, but is an Omaha, Nebraska native and has been intrigued with writing from her early grade school years. Her parents said she possessed a seemingly unlimited imagination and knack for words as a young child. Sudden Summer Breeze is her first novel which was a mystery and suspense trilogy and included the titles "Mistaken Innocence" and "The Sweet Taste of Bitterness".
She has released several other fictional books since then. Dr. Jefferson published one scholarly work, which was her dissertation “Focus of religious commitment and religious orientation among self-identified Christians.” Dr. Jefferson believes God, the Holy Spirit, through Jesus, his WORD, offers and provides the greatest counseling for living a true and authentic spiritual life as a NEW CREATION. She also believes, God KNOWS his people and there is NO ONE who can lead and guide, through this life, upon earth, better than the Holy Spirit. (Psalm 139:1-5).
She has served as counselor, speaker, and teacher with churches in Arizona, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Japan, and Maryland - through bible studies retreats, conferences, and group or individual counseling sessions. She has written a book series that focuses on the YADA or covenant relationship with God, the Holy Spirit called "THE COVENANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT," which includes volumes 1, 2 3, & 4.
In 2016, after having brain surgery in October 2014 and being in a coma, she began writing inspirational books and in May of 2021 she will have completed 100+ books. Her books are available nationally and internationally and can be found in paperback, on kindle, and some are now on audio.
Her counseling style focuses on the covenant relationship with God, the Holy Spirit, through Christ and she believes, the UNION offers the redeemed believer the opportunity to become reconciled, restored, and made whole emotionally, spiritually, mentally, financially, and physically. It is God, the Holy Spirit, after all, who desires, ABOVE ALL ELSE, that his people PROSPER and be in GOOD HEALTH as he has prospered their soul (3 John 1:2).
She calls this kind of counseling, YADA counseling, because it encourages spiritual growth and development of the whole person by placing emphasis on the interior life of individuals as they fellowship with God through the covenant relationship. The redeemed believer works on renewing their minds in order to experience genuine transformation through real life application of God’s WORD and the enabling POWER of the indwelling Holy Spirit.
Dr. Jefferson served as the Director of Counseling and Clergy care with Nekadesh Farm Retreat Center in Maryland from 2010-2014, but now serves through SHARING GOD’S WORD MINISTRIES under the anointed leadership of Pastors Kermit and Linda Wilson. She is a licensed minister. In addition, she holds a Masters of Arts in Human Services (Marriage & Family) from Liberty University, Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Regent University, an Associate of Arts in Christian Counseling and a Doctoral degree in Pastoral Community Counseling from Argosy University.
She has one adult child (son), a daughter-in-law, four grandchildren, and lives in Phoenix, Arizona. Pensacola’s favorite scripture that best describe her deepest hope for herself and her brothers and sisters-in-Christ. “….They (we) might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ (the WORD), whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3 KJV).
